Alas, that dosn't work anymore, if you click on the artwork icon in the mini player it just shows a larger empty album artwork icon. in previous versions of iTunes 11, the art didn't show in the miniplayer unless you clicked on the black 'empty' album icon to show the art preview. I plug in my iPod to my MacBook using USB, then pay off the iPod directly. To be honest it hasn't worked since v11 came out anyway.
